Polina Melamed

PIANO TEACHER

Educated in the Ukraine, Polina is an honors graduate from the A.M. Gorkiy Pedagogical Institute holding Diploma in Piano Teaching and Musical Arts. Polina's piano studies began at the age of 4. Her training is based on Traditional Russian School of Piano Playing. By the the age of 6 she was participating in competitions and by the age of 12 performed as a soloist with the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Kiev. Polina is a Certified Kodaly and Orff Teacher holding Certificates from Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) as well, she is a Certified Suzuki Teacher and active member of Dr. Suzuki Association of Americas. Outside of teaching at the Ontario College of Music, Polina is free-lance musician and singer, performing with T.Shevchenko choir.
