THE BEST DRUM LESSONS IN TORONTO

There are many reasons why the Leaside Music School offers Toronto’s best drum lessons. I will outline the three that stand out the most below:

PROFESSIONAL DRUM TEACHERS
The first and most important reason is that all of our drum teachers are professionals. All of them are experts at playing in a live setting and have spent many decades refining their own personal sound. For them, playing the drums is much more than just learning to play songs that are popular on the radio. According to the teachers at the Leaside Music School, sight-reading, learning different styles of playing and developing a disciplined practice routine are some of the foundational attributes a well-rounded drummer should have in their musical tool kit.

PRIVATE DRUM LESSONS
Another reason why we offer the best drum lessons in Toronto are quickly realized when you examine the high level of education we offer. We focus on the student and design a lesson plan based on their specific skill level, where they want to take their playing and industry level best practices. We’ve seen hundreds of our students become career musicians and gain acceptance into some of the best post secondary music schools in North America.

OUR STUDIOS
We also have excellent studio space – the drum studios have enough room for two full-size drum kits (one for the teacher and one for the student). The rooms are well tuned for great sound, well lit with natural light and very well designed - with room for music stands and loud speakers for play-along tracks. Our teachers here have on many occasions recorded lessons to give students a close look into to how they can improve their playing. They also provide students with take home notes of what was covered during the lesson as well as practice “homework” and other additional fun including play-along tracks, youtube links, cds and music sheets/exercises.
